A: I saw another commercial about the starving children in Africa. It is just so unfair!
B: I know. I feel guilty because we have plenty to eat. Where is the justice?
A: 아프리카의 어린이들의 기아와 굶주림에 관한 홍보물을 봤어. 그건 정말 옳지 않아!
B: 알아. 난 우리가 가진 음식이 풍부한 것에 가책을 느껴. 정의는 어디에 있을까? 

justice : 사전적 정의는 ‘공평성’, ‘공정성’, ‘정당성’, ‘사법’이며 미국에서는 판사나 재판관을 부를 때 사용하기도 한다. 어원은 고대 로마의 정의와 법을 주관하는 여신인 justitia에서 유래됐다. 유사한 표현으로는 fairness, righteousness, integrity, legitimacy등이 있다.
